DON’T LOSE YOUR JOY

DON’T LOSE YOUR JOY

“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full”. John 15:11 (KJV)

Beloved, considering the type of challenges that we face in these days, my counsel to you is that you should never allow anything to cause you to lose your joy. Make up your mind to rather be excited about what God is doing in your life. Be excited that you are alive and still breathing. Be excited about all the things that God is doing daily for you. If your joy is lost under any circumstance, then you will not have the strength to withstand the forces of darkness. My bible tells me in our text scripture that these things have I spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you and that your joy might be full. I’ve spoken these things that will bring joy no matter the happenings.

No matter the happenings means they should not be your source, your source is the word God has spoken. Your eyes should be on what God has spoken because that’s what gives you joy amid adversity and challenges. When they’re saying there’s a casting down, we are saying there’s a lifting up. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Don’t allow the adverse situation to cause you to lose your joy. As long as you don’t lose your joy, you will have peace.

See the story of David who was so harassed by the enemies and was pulled by the adversaries in diverse ways. He was running from cave to cave, and from pillar to post to the point that he ran into the camp of the very enemies that he destroyed at wartime. Put on your imagination, it must be a time of confusion. He didn’t see any other place to run to, but into the very hands of the enemies. But because of the prophetic hand of God in his life, the enemies couldn’t destroy him, they favored him. The scriptures (Proverb 16:7) tell us that “when a man’s life pleases the Lord, He makes even his enemies be at peace with him”.
