DON’T LET ANYONE DECEIVE YOU

DON’T LET ANYONE DECEIVE YOU

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”. Romans 8:14 (KJV)

I see a lot of deception going on today in the name of church and ministry. A lot of self-acclaimed Prophets are all over town. They will tell people what they want to hear and extort money from them. I feel for such people who are being deceived. They allow themselves to be prey in the hands of these people whose god is their bellies, whose glory is their shame, whose end is destruction, and who are enemies of the cross. Don’t fall for their lies!

Someone might be asking: Are there no true prophets? Of course, there are. The Bible talks about Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers for the maturing of the saints and the work of the ministry. But prophets don’t give direction. “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Prophets are first teachers. When you operate in the office of a prophet, you must know how to rightfully divide the word of God. Someone who cannot even preach jack and is prophesying can only be a false prophet.

Don’t wound yourself. Stay on your foundation. “…Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.” (Isaiah 28:16 KJV). He says when you believe it, you will not be threatened. In other words, you will be committed. Whether you understand how it will work or not, you are committed. Commitment is bigger than faith. When faith fails, zero in on commitment. Faith can fail. Jesus said to Peter: “but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not…” (Luke 22:32 KJV).

So, there is a possibility of faith failing. But when you don’t even know how it will work out and all you do is stand on the word; then you are committed. God is looking for such people who are totally committed to what Christ has done. He didn’t do it for Himself. He did it for you. So, stop fretting.
