DON’T JOKE WITH YOUR ALTAR

DON’T JOKE WITH YOUR ALTAR

“And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar”. Genesis 8:20 (KJV)

Noah came out of the flood after the entire creation has been destroyed by the flood. “And God spake unto Noah, saying, Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee. Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth. And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him: every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.”(Genesis 8:15-19 KJV)

And Noah built an altar. The first thing Noah built when he came out with the animals was an altar unto the Lord. He took every clean beast, and every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. Do not play with your altar. Noah built an altar as soon as he came out. Everything has been destroyed. There was no template for him to copy. All traces of human civilization were destroyed. So, there was nowhere he can get a copy to say let me copy out the digits. In the face of the daunting challenges, he built an altar.

Don’t let the devil destroy your altar. It is the foundation, and if the foundation is destroyed, what would the righteous do? When your relationship with God is affected you are finished. When your commitment, your dedication, your faithfulness, and your involvement with God are affected, you are finished. Noah had enough understanding that if I must stand, I must begin with God. The things you are involved in: your job, your business, your marriage, your money, your children, your skill, and your time: how do they involve God?
