DON’T BE FLIPPANT

“Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.” Matthew 16:20 (KJV)

The fact that you have access to information does not authorize you to say everything you see or everything you hear. Look at Jesus! He strictly warned His disciples because there is a time for everything.

Words are powerful. As we saw a few days ago, because of the words of the ten spies, the entire nation was discouraged and wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. If you speak before the time is right, you may end up destroying the entire work committed into your hands. So, Jesus sternly warned the disciples not to tell anyone because the time was not yet.

My body itches when I see folks who are flippant. I cannot stand flippant people. A Spirit-filled person should not be flippant. You can know a lot of things that are going on, but you ought not to be flippant about it. The best you can do is to pray about it.

Some people will receive a dream, and they will announce all their dreams, yet no one has judged their prophecy. Your prophecy has never been judged! No revelation has ever been judged! And you are telling everyone. Beloved, you are flippant! The Bible says we should judge revelation.

A leader should be very careful and should be discreet. It is not everything the Lord reveals to you that should be made public. God reveals to redeem. God does not reveal to destroy. Be careful!

As a church leader, you must understand that the various church platforms are for edifying one another. The reason for the platforms is not for you to announce the events in another ministry. The platforms are put in place to share information concerning the activities of the different groups and ministries in the local assembly where God has planted you. That is what it is!

Don’t destroy people’s destinies by sharing negativities. Let’s focus on the things that edify and help us to build the church of Jesus Christ.
