DON’T BE ANXIOUS

“Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6 (KJV)

I have found out that when God goes ahead of you, you are only just gliding into what He is already doing; and it removes every pressure from you. You don’t need to go to bed thinking, anxious and developing undue high blood pressure.  No, you don’t have to. God doesn’t want to bless you, and then you have hypertension and spend all your money at the hospital. That is not His intention. So, when you start to pass through anxiety and all kind of things, you need to know who is in charge.

This is not limited to financial issues; it also involves every area of your life. Are you called into Ministry? The calling is not to make you anxious. Learn to rest in Him who has called you. That is one of the truths I have told myself concerning ministry. I am not going to put myself under pressure. I don’t have a point to prove to anyone. This should also be your resolve in everything. When the Bible says to be careful for nothing, God meant it. He has not commissioned you to an anxious life. He wants you to rest in Him.

Keep doing what God has called you to do; you are not in competition with anyone. We all are members of one body, so we compliment ourselves. When you start to go into competitive jealousy and all kinds of things, you become anxious, you lose sleep, and you will develop all kinds of sicknesses and diseases that you never bargained for.

God wants you blessed, and He wants you to stay alive to enjoy the blessings. When you seek Him, He does a lot of things for you. He reveals to you which direction to go. He leads you gently every step of the way. So, take a quality decision today to rest in Him.
