DON’T ALLOW SIN TO DESTROY YOU
“And the men said unto Lot, hast thou here any besides; son-in-law and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place; For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it”. Genesis 19:12-13 (KJV)
Beloved, I must tell you this. Sin kills! Sin destroys! Sin embarrasses! Sin humiliates! Sin is a destroyer! Sin is a destiny killer! Sin is the work of the devil. Yes, that is what it is. It is powerful. And the only way to avoid it is to flee from it and stand with God.
Lot was in Sodom, and God was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of their sin; Lot was instructed to leave Sodom. Sodom is a type of sin. They brought him out of the environment of sin.
God doesn’t want you to stay in the environment of sin. In verse 17 of the same chapter, the bible says; “And it came to pass, when they have brought them forth abroad, that they said, escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; Escape to the mountains, lest thou be consumed” (KJV). In other words, do not look back again at your sin. Don’t look back at what your life used to be. Don’t let the devil put your focus on your failures and your mess. Escape for your life. Do not even stay in the environment. “Escape to the mountains…” The Mountain is an elevated place, higher than that situation. When you look back, you will die.
According to the scripture, Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. God does not want you to look back. Looking back is denying the finished work of Calvary. Looking back is attempting to pay for the sin by yourself. God said, ‘don’t look back’. Your sin, past, present, and future has been fully paid for. It is time to look forward. When you are tempted to look back, remember Lot’s wife.

Daily Confession
My God enlarges the steps under me so that my feet will not slip I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them. I refused to turn till they were all consumed. The Lord will hear me in the day of trouble. The God of Jacob will defend me. He will send me help from His Sanctuary and strengthen me from Zion. He will remember all my offerings. (Psalm 18:36-37, Psalm 20:1-3)
There is no lack, for my God supplies all of my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus The Lord has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant and Abraham’s blessings are mine. Some trust in chariots and horses but I will remember the name of the Lord God. They are brought down and fallen but I am risen and stand upright. (Philippians 4:19, Psalms 35:27; Galatians 3:14, Psalm 20:7-8)
Every day and in every way I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally, and in all my endeavours.
I am called for a purpose; I will fulfill this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom. Therefore, I declare that I am a person of integrity, I am spiritually fervent, and I am accountable in all I do because I’ve been raised to live the Kingdom Life here on earth.
It is my day of Great and Mighty Things!
