CONNECT TO EXCELLENCE

CONNECT TO EXCELLENCE

“Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.” Daniel 6:3 (KJV)

Until you realize the importance of excellence in your quest to prosper in life; you will remain mediocre as far as wealth is concerned. Also, until you understand and know the importance of excellence in your quest to become successful in your field of endeavour, you will remain mediocre. Good success and sustainable prosperity are predicated on how far you can connect to excellence. If you are in a hurry to make money rather than rendering an excellent service that will always put you at the cutting edge, you will make the money alright but your money will develop wings and fly away.

What is excellence? It means pre-eminence! It means to excel! It means to cause to abound. It means too much, powerful, glorious, mighty, noble, principal, worthy, magnificent, and honourable. Our God is excellent and if we are children of an excellent God, we don’t have a choice other than to be excellent.

Look at Daniel, the difference was that an excellent spirit was found in him. This man served about four Kings in a strange land. He was taking care of something that belongs to another and did it excellently. Daniel will show up on time and show up prepare. He will do things excellently and do it as though he was doing it for Jesus.

Excellence is not a destination; it is a journey that you undertake. Yesterday’s excellence is today’s mediocrity. You may be excellent before but today it is mediocrity. So, it is a journey that you must consistently pursue. Don’t be in a hurry to make money, render excellent service. That is one of the major problems that had confronted our nation. Everyone is in a hurry to make money, but no one is ready to do things right. Doing things right may be slow but the truth is that once you are established, nothing can shake you. Always remember that mediocrity is not an option for a child of God.
