COME TO THE TABLE; THE PRICE HAS BEEN PAID

COME TO THE TABLE; THE PRICE HAS BEEN PAID

“And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.” (2 Samuel 9:7 KJV)

When Mephibosheth found himself in the presence of the king, he fell on the floor. In other words, leave me here, I belong to the floor. Let me continue the way I am. And David said: No Mephibosheth, fear not! Mephibosheth’s invite was not based on anything he did; it was all based on what Jonathan did. Did you see that? The same is true for the believer. Your invite to the table is not based on anything you did or will do, but totally on what Jesus did for you. So stop being afraid when you get into the presence God, He is your Father. You don’t need to fear any more. God loves you with an everlasting love. God’s love for you cannot be revoked. It is irrevocable! It is irreversible!  He loves you just the way you are.

Mephibosheth said what can you do with a dog like me? If you read that account, three times David said from now Mephibosheth, you will be eating at my table continually. The bible doesn’t waste words. So I asked God; what does that mean? He said the reason why a lot of believers are living below their family inheritance is that they have refused to get up from the floor. It is the devil that put you on the floor because of your sins. And when Jesus came, He paid in full and prepared a table and He said come to the table.

Come and sit at the table. When you sit on the table, they will not see your weakness. You are seeing your weakness because you have refused to sit on the table that Christ has prepared. At this table you are more than conqueror. At this table there is no condemnation. At this table you have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Come on the table and see your true picture.
