CHRIST PAID THE PRICE FOR YOUR REDEMPTION

CHRIST PAID THE PRICE FOR YOUR REDEMPTION

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14 KJV

According to the law, somebody has to be hung on a tree to be cursed. And Jesus was hung on a tree. The question is why did He die on the cross? Why did they not just stone Him to death? If Jesus had failed to hang on the cross, the blood that He shed would have meant nothing.  His blood was meant to cleanse our sins: past, present, and future. But He must be hung on the cross for His blood to be efficacious in the redemptive works.

Beloved, all our sins have been dealt with. You have been delivered from sin. Your behaviour cannot change until you accept that fact. Until you accept that reality, that you have been delivered, you will continue to struggle with sin.

Hanging on the cross is what deployed His blessings. Shedding His blood is what saved you. So, He hung on the cross so that the blessing of Abraham will come upon you through Jesus Christ. For the new creation, everything we receive is because of Christ. It is not because you qualified. It is not because you went to school. It is not because you paid any price. It is not because you fasted. It is not because you gave. It is not because you are regular in church. It is not because you are a tither. It is not because the pastor loves you. It is based on Christ! That is why the Bible says: “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” (Colossians 3:17 KJV).

You must understand that He has redeemed you to walk in the blessing and to live your life to the fullest. Don’t settle for anything less.
