CHRIST IS THE TRUE IMAGE OF THE CHURCH

CHRIST IS THE TRUE IMAGE OF THE CHURCH

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Colossians 2:8-10 (KJV)

There are lots and lots of things going out of our pulpits and on the internet, which have nothing to do with new creation realities. Jesus is the true image of the church. What is in Him is in us. “… because as he is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17 KJV). The true image of the Church is in the Epistle, not in the Law. The letter kills, it is the Spirit that gives light. if you want to see your true picture, you will see it in Christ. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”  (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” (John 1:16 KJV). Everyone who is born again has received one wave of grace upon another wave of grace. Grace upon grace. Grace to be successful! Grace to overcome temptation. Grace to marry your spouse right? Grace to train your children. Grace to be healed. Grace to prosper. Grace to succeed in business. Grace to have wisdom.

In verse 17 of the book of John chapter 1, the bible declares: “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” Truth is on the side of grace. Outside of grace, there is no truth. Grace and truth came from Jesus Christ. Jesus is grace! Jesus is the truth! You cannot separate grace from Jesus. He came down from heaven to identify with you. That is why He is qualified to be our Saviour. He came, pass through what you are passing through. He came to encounter your difficulties. And by encountering them, He will ensure that grace brings you out of it.

In Christ, you will never be defeated because Jesus never experienced defeat.
