CHRIST DID IT ALL FOR YOUR BENEFIT
“Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:” 2 Timothy 2:8 (KJV)
If the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ become only a historical fact to you, then your faith is in vain. Jesus came to die for your sins. He died and rose again triumphantly over hell and the grave. But if it is just a historical fact and not a spiritual reality to you, then you will struggle to appropriate the benefits.
To ensure that you are put on a pedestal of permanent victory in every area of your life, the resurrection must be viewed not only as something that really took place but as a spiritual reality.
I have been on this for a few days because if you get it, your Christian experience will enjoy a complete turnaround. What most believers have is head knowledge, but I need it to sink into your spirit. Jesus did not commit sin, but He became sin that you might become the righteousness of God. He died and rose again so you can become partakers of the Divine nature. He became poor so that you will no longer be stranded in life. His back was lacerated, and His body was broken so that you can receive total wholeness. He did it all for your benefit.
The greatest honour that you can do for this great sacrifice is to experience and enjoy all the good things He has released to us. It will be an abuse and an insult not to experience the benefits. It must be a reality in your life. In other words, if the enemy has attacked you with sickness, you must stand in the brutality of your righteousness and say to the enemy: “You cannot stop me! I reject sickness in my body! I reject this growth! I reject this diabetes! It has been carried by Jesus on the cross of Calvary. By His stripes, I am healed.”
The positive proof that you have the victory is not that he died, but that He resurrected. If He did not rise on the third day, you cannot claim that you are justified. What He did on the cross was for your sins. But your redemption is in the fact that He rose. That is the gospel!
