CHOOSE TO STAND OUT.
“And Saul said to him, Whose son art thou, thou young man? And David answered, I am the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.” 1 Samuel 17: 58 KJV
Beloved, I want to challenge you to take back the lost territories and cities in your life. Yesterday we saw how David confronted Goliath and obtained the victory. David was not a trained soldier but he had enough audacity and courage to confront Goliath. All the ‘mighty men of war’ were terrified by the arsenals of Goliath and could only stand by and tolerate the insults, shame and embarrassment. You cannot afford to sit back and remain ordinary. The world out there wants to change and influence you, but you are the one that is supposed to bring about positive change in your world. Don’t run away or join them in evil. I urge you to arise and confront your confrontations.
According to the book of Daniel 6:3: “…Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm”(KJV) Daniel was a vivid example of how covenant people can excel and take over territories, cities and gates. Recall that Daniel, along with three other Hebrew boys was taken into captivity in Babylon. But these same slave boys turned out to be people of great influence even in a foreign land. Daniel, a slave, had so much influence with the kings of his time and he got promoted to a position where he could decide what happened in the land. Don’t forget that Daniel did not just get promoted overnight. No! He built the right foundation. He was a man of integrity! He was diligent! And he was also a man of excellence.
Today, we live in an era where every person is in a hurry to make it big. Like Daniel, you must be patient and ready to engage in hard work. You must imbibe the culture of excellence and integrity. Let me assure you that the territories of music, arts, entertainment, media, politics, ICT, finance, and business are all waiting for you. You will shock your world. This is your defining moment.
