CHOOSE TO BELIEVE THE WORD

CHOOSE TO BELIEVE THE WORD

“I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13 (KJV)

I come your way today to encourage you to believe the word of God, irrespective of what you are going through because the word is alive and powerful. The word is sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit (Hebrews 4:12). It is only the word that can deal with the soul and spirit, joints and marrow. The word can reach any human being. The word can reach every area. That is how powerful the word of God is.

From our scriptural text, David said he had almost fainted if he had not believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. In other words, David was saying in effect that God’s goodness is there. God, who is a good God, has already released His goodness. However, he needed to do something in order to receive it. He needed to believe it! God’s goodness is there! David’s challenge was that other things were distracting him from experiencing this goodness. Some things were trying to make him faint. He decided that he wasn’t going to faint. He chose to believe.

Child of God; choose to believe the word of God! Refuse to allow your circumstance to dictate to you. Don’t allow the feelings, the pressure, or whatever it is that is happening around you to determine your state. You belong to God and God cannot fail. If God cannot fail, you cannot fail either.

Do not only believe the word of God, begin to see things from God’s perspective and not from your small perspective because your natural sight is limited. The God you serve can see the end of a matter from the very beginning. He knows how to work every situation out for your good. He knows what is best for you and the best way to bring it to pass. Believe Him for the impossible. Believe that He will hasten to perform His word in your life.
