BUILD YOUR HOME IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WORD OF GOD

BUILD YOUR HOME IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WORD OF GOD

“And said, for this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?” Matthew 19:5 KJV
One of the major problems a lot of homes and families have is that boys are married and not men. But the bible declares in Matthew 19:5 that: “For this cause shall a man leave father and mother and cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh”. The Word doesn’t say a boy! Boys are the people who refuse to leave their mother and their father. Boys will always stay in their father’s house.
So, you see a lot of people who are married will never take decision by themselves concerning their homes. They want to first find out what their mother will say about it.  You are a boy and not a man if your mother will tell you what type of soup you eat. You are a boy if it is your mother that will tell you what your wife should cook or shouldn’t cook.  You are a boy and you should go back and live under your mother’s roof.
If you desire to make a success of your home, then you must take a decision to build your life on the Word of God and not on tradition. Not on what they used to say in the village! But on the Word!
I love what one of my friends said. He is a Yoruba person and when you get married as a Yoruba person, they will say she is our “Iyawo”. Which means ‘our wife’. He said she is not our ‘Iyawo’ because you are not the ones who made the vow. I made the vow, so go back to your home.  My wife is not your wife. There are some traditions that you must throw out of the window because they do not have any relationship with God’s divine destiny for your life. Too many traditions and practices do not align with the Word of God concerning marriage and we should simply throw them away.
