BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD

BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD

“And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.”Matthew 21:9 (KJV)

This account is such an interesting one. It was exactly one week before the same people turned around and shouted ‘Crucify Him.’ The huge lesson to learn from this is that we should never to be moved by the applause of men; rather focus on God who called you and strive for His applause, for when He celebrates you He truly celebrates you. Man oscillates from one mood swing to another but not God. His Word is Yea and Amen.

In this account, the sovereignty of God was displayed. Imagine going to a man, whom you have never met, and asking him for his colt with only one instruction: The Lord has need of it, and the man did not argue. That goes to show that the Lord whom you serve has incredible power at His disposal. He can make and unmake, He can wound, and He can heal. He is God all by Himself. The hearts of kings are in His hands and He can turn it as He wills. So, the disciples went and spoke as commanded, and the man handed over the colt without another word.

Then, think of the women who threw their wrappers on the floor and those who climbed to cut palm fronds! Who instructed them? The truth is: God is God. When He is set to do a thing, everything gravitates to make it happen. It may not look like it, but if God has said it, then it must of necessity come to pass. The Word of God never falls to the ground; it must always accomplish what it is sent to do.

What has God spoken to you about? No matter how impossible it looks, don’t give up. Hang in there. Believe Him for His Word and be assured that it will come to pass. Creation will work for you in Jesus’ name.
