BELIEVE AND RECEIVE

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

John 3:15 (KJV)

The God that we serve is still the Almighty God. He is the Alpha. He is the Omega. He is the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. He is the awesome God. Heaven and earth adore Him. The angels bow before Him. He is not in trouble and He has declared that He will build his church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church.

Beloved, Christianity is not about what you do or what you don’t do. It is about receiving what the Lord has already perfected. When you function in what He says, you will maximize the fullness of the potentials in you. But if you don’t function in what He says, you can never be all He has ordained for you to be. Because you will always discover that there is something wrong about you. You will always find out that you don’t have it all together. This is why God wants you to absolutely depend on Him and Him alone. Depend on what He has done.

Our Christian experience begins from the point of resting. Jesus said “it is finished”. In other words, He has paid the price. He was wounded for your transgression. He was bruised for your iniquity. The chastisement of your peace was upon him and by His stripes you were healed. In other words, on the cross your weakness was exchanged for Christ’s strength. Your sin was exchanged for His righteousness. Don’t struggle. Don’t labour to get it. Just believe and then receive. That is all we are called to do as Christians. Believe what He has done and then receive. And that is!

What am I saying? Jesus said come and receive an exchange. The bible says: “For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV) If you have received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you have been made righteous.
