BECOME INTIMATE WITH THE FATHER

BECOME INTIMATE WITH THE FATHER

“I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” (John 5:30 KJV)

Jesus, our perfect example, related intimately with God. He never called Him God but Father until He got on the cross. Jesus had an intimate relationship with the Father. If there is anything that God desires from us, it is an intense and intimate relationship like He had with Jesus. Jesus succeeded in business, ministry, and life because He was always intimate with His father. That is what you need and what you should emulate.

Being like Jesus means having intimacy with your heavenly Father. When you are intimate with Him, He instructs and guides you always on all your life’s issues such that you will never miss it. The book of Psalms 32:8 (KJV) says, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

When you are intimate with the Father, He reveals Himself to you such that you live out the eternal life you have within you. Yes, you have God’s kind of life, the Zoe life of God is inside you. As a son in the house, you have access to the Father’s room and His secrets are revealed to you. In times of challenges and in trying situations of life, you have an advantage, if you have intimacy with the Father.

Moreover, everything that belongs to the Father becomes yours because you are one with the Him. That means lack will never come near you. The Father’s abundance will always be your portion. Life will not happen to you the way it is happening to others. Your case will always be different, and people will keep wondering how you are making it.

Are you like your Father? Do you operate like your Father? Are your ears close to your Father’s mouth to hear His voice? When you lift your eyes to the Father, He reveals His power to you. All power comes from Him. He is your Father. Don’t approach Him like a servant, come boldly into His presence as a son.
