BE STRONG IN GRACE

“Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus”. 2 Timothy 2:1 KJV

The grace of God upon your life is intended by God to take you high above contrary situations and circumstances so that you can soar where others are crawling. In other words, when men are saying that there is a casting down, you are saying ‘there is a lifting up.’ That is what makes you different from the world!  And they cannot understand how you function.

In  his letter to his spiritual son Timothy, Apostle Paul  encouraged him to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. That grace was to enable him endure hardship like a good soldier of Christ and yet stay on top of his game. In other words, hardship was not enough to stop God’s call upon Timothy.

Beloved, in a world such as ours today, you really cannot function without the grace of God upon your life, because everything is designed to work against you. If God does not help you, there is no way you can make it. But functioning by the grace of God is just the starting point. The truth is that you need to grow in that grace.  In other words, for you to be strong in the grace of God, you must grow in it. And since  growth can only come through the knowledge of Jesus Christ, you must take a quality decision to get to know Him intimately.

It is not all about just coming to church or getting involved in activities. It goes beyond that. You must make up your mind to personally seek the Lord in the study of the Word and in prayers and fasting so that you can know Him for yourself. Today, believers are easily satisfied with just attending church programs and there is nothing wrong about that, but unfortunately that is where many  stop. No! Don’t stop there! You must develop an insatiable  thirst for God in this day and time.
