BE STRONG

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)

We are living in a time in the history of mankind when we are faced with overwhelming circumstances. If you are not seeing the events of the world as very challenging, then maybe you live on another planet. There are pressures here and there. There are difficulties here and there. And there are satanic manifestations all over the place. Today’s world is totally different from the world we previously lived in. The activities of the devil are on the increase. Everywhere you turn you will see his activity. People are dying in great numbers almost every day. News of death is received daily on all the news channels and social media.

We are daily overwhelmed these days with news of numerous ritual killings even by minors. People can kill for just any amount. Just because you did not give somebody food, he can decide to poison you. We have come to see that all these are events of the last days. The Bible tells us that perilous times shall come as we begin to climax the age. (2 Timothy 3:1)

The challenge is as though we are in a state of war and the enemy has made it look as if he has put our backs to the wall and we cannot escape. But that is not true. The world may be under pressure and their backs may be against the wall, but that is not the situation with the believer. My concern is when born-again and spirit-filled Christians begin to function like the world. They react like the world and talk like the world. It is worrisome when we begin to act as if we do not know the God that we serve. According to the scripture: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32 KJV)

If there is anyone who should be strong in the present crisis that we face, it is the believer. Be strong, and hold on tenaciously to God.
