BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED

BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED

“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” Romans 8:6 (NKJV)

According to the word of God: “…they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.”(Romans 8:5 KJV). As believers, we are not of the flesh, we are of the Spirit. We are born of the Spirit. When the Bible talks about flesh, it’s talking about your physical senses. Those who go by their senses cannot walk in victory. You are not supposed to go by your senses. “For to be carnally minded is death”. When the bible says death, it is not just talking about ceasing to breathe. It is talking about anything contrary to the blessing that God has given to you. Sickness is death! Disease is death! poverty is death! Failure is death! Disappointment is death! Fear is death! Everything contrary to what God has done is death.

There is nothing wrong with our physical senses. They have their places! But for spiritual people who are born into the kingdom of God, the Bible says you are supposed to be spiritually minded. Why? Because to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Then verse 7 says: “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.”(Romans 8:7 KJV). When you go by your senses, you are going to contradict and negate the purpose of God.

To become Spiritually minded, you must give attention to the WORD of God. Jesus said:

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63 KJV). Nothing gives so much clarity like the word of God. You get easily deceived when you are not rooted in the WORD
