BE ROOTED IN HIM

“As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him; and established in the faith, as ye have been taught; abounding therein with thanksgiving”. Colossians 2:6-7 (KJV)

Apostle Paul declares in the book of Colossians: “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” (Colossians 2:8-10 KJV). Did you see that? Our root is found in Him. For in Him we live, move and have our being.

2 Corinthians 5:17 is so rich, robust and powerful that you can’t explore it all. “If any man be in Christ…” You see, Christ finished the work knowing your weaknesses and inadequacies. He finished it. We are not the message! Christ is the message. We are sent to the world to unveil Christ. He is the healer. He is the deliverer. He is the one that sets free. When you preach the Bible, which is the Truth; you should unveil Jesus, because He’s the one that saves. We couldn’t save ourselves because we were weak.

He spoilt principalities and powers. He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them. So how do we benefit? When I receive Christ, the Father puts me in Him. So, His victory becomes my victory. His breakthrough becomes my breakthrough. His miracles become my miracles. So, there is no way I can lose. Since I am in Him, I rest because I know it shall turn out well. When you study the entire gospel, you will notice that almost all the miracles that Jesus did were done on Sabbath. Why was it so? He was trying to teach us to rest. Jesus is Rest.  And the Sabbath means rest. So, Jesus was teaching us to rest.
