BE POSITIONED TO RECEIVE FROM GOD

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV

The question that we are asking ourselves today is, ‘how can we access the things of God or how do we receive from God?’ This is one of the biggest issues faced by believers and this is why many of us make shipwreck of our calling and crumble in the face of the contradictions of life. The book of John 6:63 declares: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”(KJV). We can also put it thus: the promises God has made to you, they are spirit and they are life.

Why does the scripture say that the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God? The Bible explains that they are foolishness unto him. In other words, they don’t make sense to him, neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. This means you cannot understand them with human senses, but by the revelation of the Holy Spirit. So, many times, the things that God says to us will not make sense; and then when you want to approach it and appropriate it with your senses, you would not get it. Yes, they are yours, but you can’t get them unless your approach is proper and, in the manner, directed by God.

Child of God, it is time you committed yourself to seeking and receiving insight and guidance of the Holy Spirit so that you may receive all that has been made available to you in Christ. I bless you today in the name of the Lord.
