BE POSITIONED TO GROW SPIRITUALLY

BE POSITIONED TO GROW SPIRITUALLY

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”1 Peter 2:2 KJV

Child of God, it is my desire that you grow spiritually and attain the heights God has planned for you. But until you desire it and work towards it, nothing will happen. A newborn baby eats several times in a day. So, the Bible uses this analogy to paint a picture of how we as believers, should desire the Word. It is only the Word that can help you grow. Only the Word can teach you to love your neighbours, forgive, pray, have faith and live a godly life.

As we climax the age, evil will continue to increase, but it is only the Word of God that will enable you to stand in the midst of adversity. This is why we must not take opportunities for spiritual growth for granted. These include regular church service attendance, as well as well as a commitment to ministry, fellowship groups and the cell church. All these are avenues to build up your spirit.

It is important also that you are passionate and dedicated to knowing more about the Christian faith. Let nothing be a barrier. Give yourself to fasting, prayer, and the study of the Word, to enhance your personal growth. God’s plan is that we get impacted and in turn, impact our world. So, don’t take it for granted.

Don’t come to church only on Sundays. Maximize every opportunity that you have to be in church services. Take advantage of every opportunity that will make you receive more of the Word. That is why the scripture says: “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms and hymns, singing with grace in your heart”. In other words, be loaded with the Word on a daily basis. I pray for you that your heart will genuinely yearn and thirst for the water of God’s Word.  And I decree that your eyes shall be flooded with the light of His Word.
