BE OPEN TO LEARNING FROM OTHERS

BE OPEN TO LEARNING FROM OTHERS

“Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John 3:4-5 KJV

Nicodemus came to Jesus to learn. He knew that it was the inflow that would produce the outflow. Nicodemus was a ruler who understood the Jewish religion very well. He was a Pharisee! But despite his position, he did not know about the born-again experience. So, he submitted himself to Jesus so that he might learn. He submitted himself to listen to Him. Then Jesus began to teach him.

Today, how many are humble enough to sit down and listen to others? How many are open to learning from others? Nicodemus wanted Jesus to explain the born-again experience to him. Today, in the book of John chapter three, we see the explanation Jesus gave to Nicodemus. That is why we are reading it today. When you don’t ask questions, you won’t know. When you are arrogant, you won’t know. You will never know when you feel that no person around you can advise you.

How many people sit down to ask those around them questions on how things are done? How many people ask questions about what is the trending thing in society? Your operations will soon become archaic if you are not open to learning from others. Always remember that someone knows something that you don’t know. Open your heart to learn from that person.

Anyone who desires to succeed in this generation must be able to flow with change. Being able to flow with change requires continuous learning. And continuous learning is what produces improvement in whatever you are involved in.
