BE NOT AFRAID: ONLY BELIEVE

BE NOT AFRAID: ONLY BELIEVE

“While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead; why troublest thou the Master any further? As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.” Mark 5:35-36 (KJV)

As a result of the miracle of the woman with the issue of blood, there was a little delay in getting to Jairus’ house. Remember, he was first to request before the woman but the woman received before him. Child of God, the delay is not denial. The fact that it seems as if it has not happened does not mean it will not happen.

As a result of the delay, what happened next was that someone came with the bad news that Jairus’ daughter was dead. However, Jesus said to him: “Be not afraid, only believe.”
In other words, fear not, keep on believing. When you read further, you will notice that Jesus did that on purpose because He knew that if his mouth was not shut immediately, this man would speak a negative word and the force of patience would not have been released.

When you speak contrary to the Word of God, you cannot release the force of patience. Yes, it is a fact that Jairus’ daughter was dead but remember that the force of patience is released when there is adversity. When it looks as if nothing will work any longer; that is when to keep on standing on what God said. It might be a fact that my body hurts but that’s not the truth. The truth is that by his stripes I was healed.

The songwriter says, “When the oceans rise and thunder roar, I will soar with you above the cloud; Father you are King over the flood. I will be still; know you are God.” The fact that everything seems contrary does not change what God said concerning you. Don’t abort it! If you say anything wrong, you will abort the miracle. You will not abort your miracle in Jesus name.
