BE FULLY PERSUADED
“And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.” Romans 4:21-22(KJV)
What has God promised you? You must be fully persuaded that He will perform it. There is no request too big that God cannot answer. No temptation has come to you, but such as is common to man and God can make a way of escape through the same temptation. Be fully persuaded that you will get married because the heart of the king is in God’s hands. You must learn to release the force of patience.
1Timothy 6:11 says, “But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” (KJV). Follow after patience! Pursue it! Titus 2:1-2 says, “But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.” (KJV).
Patience simply means that you are fully persuaded that God’s word will not fail in your life. James 5:11 says, “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy”. (KJV). One of the things that helped Job to pull through was patience. Because he was patient, he received double for his trouble.
Hebrews 12:1-2 encourages us to be patient like Jesus. “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (KJV)
Beloved, run with patience the race that is set before you. Keep looking at what you will get at the end of the race because the end is already guaranteed.
