BE FAITHFUL
“A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.” Proverbs 28:20 (KJV)
There are people in the church that as soon as they experience some blessing, they will not be seen again in the church. That is when they remember every other commitment outside the church: they think of friends, family, work and put all before God. When I encounter people like this, I am forced to wonder at the shortness of human memory. The same person pledging full commitment to God before the breakthrough is the same person who expects God to understand how busy he is at work and how he needs to keep company with friends to stay “relevant” in the scheme of things. How unfortunate! The same person forgets the One who raised him up from the dung and sat him with the princes. The person forgets the commitment that brought him this far and that is when he remembers all kinds of things that God did not instruct him to do. “He” here is without bias to gender, it happens to both men and women.
No wonder God said clearly to me that believers are not wealthy because they are not patient to follow His instructions. God does not have a challenge with blessing you. In fact, He has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, so it is not about the blessing, it is about being faithful in the blessing. Even in the natural, you will not put money in the hands of your child who will waste it and then come back and take another one? God said My children are not faithful!
God is looking for those that He can bless who will use the blessing to promote the kingdom agenda. The kingdom agenda is very primary and crucial to Him. Now, how can He bless you when you are still giving Him excuses in bringing your tithe? How can He trust you with more? Beloved, make a definite decision today and ask for the grace to be faithful always.
