BE AUDACIOUS IN PRAYERS
Dearly Beloved, I bring you greetings in the name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ the Son of the living God and the soon coming King. I trust that you’ve been enjoying this time of spiritual retreat and refreshing. I know without a shadow of doubt that this month will not leave you the same way you started, there shall be tangible results of God’s goodness and mercies towards you in the name of Jesus. This period of spiritual renewal and consecration will transform your life in the name of Jesus.
Today, I want to encourage you to come boldly to the throne of grace and obtain mercy (Hebrews 4:14-16). Child of God, God is your Father and you have His approval because of Jesus, and so you can make bold demands and expect a response from heaven, that is what the finished work of Jesus has done for you and me.
“Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.” – John 11:41 (NKJV)
Our text is the prayer Jesus prayed at the tomb of Lazarus who had been dead for four days. The situation was clearly daunting, but Jesus wasn’t perturbed, He said “I thank You that You have heard Me.” That was a bold statement, and so He knew that Lazarus had no other choice but to come forth because the Father already heard his prayers. When you know that your prayers are not to beg God, or to arm-twist Him, or change His mind, it changes the way you pray. This is why praying scriptures is vitally important because in praying scriptures, you are taking God’s Word back to Him.
The Bible says the barren shall keep house and be joyful mothers of children, it says you are the head and not the tail, it says no weapon formed against you shall prosper, it says I’ll bless your bread and water and take away sickness from your midst, it says if you lack wisdom ask of me, I’ll give it to you freely. In prayers, take these scriptures back to God and watch Him flex His muscles on your behalf. The scriptures give you a holy audacity in prayers.
Our theme for the fast is taken from Revelations 20:3 and it is our foundation for shutting the devil up. Beloved, get into the scriptures during this fast and take God’s Word back to Him, you will not be denied. Make sure you join in the daily prayers via YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Mixlr. Time is 9AM-10AM, 12Noon-1PM, 5PM-6PM on Monday to Thursday. Friday prayer remains 3PM-6PM. Take out time to be in at least one session daily.
I believe God with you that this season will not pass you by; the month of October will yield great harvest for you in Jesus’ name. I bless you in Jesus’ name!
