BE A SOURCE OF COMFORT TO OTHERS
“Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4
Do you know that one of the desires of God is to find people who will build a family name and not just come to church and sit? When we begin to grow in the things of God, we come to a point where an awesome responsibility comes upon our shoulder. When you become a leader in a place, you are not just like every other person. There is a responsibility that comes with leadership. Often, people want to celebrate the glamour of leadership but very few are willing to face the challenges that go with leadership. Leadership is a call to responsibility. It is a call to an assignment. It is a call to be a pillar in the house. If a pillar is removed in the house, the house collapses.
God is looking for builders of the family name. If you are a member of TREM, God has given us a family name; claim it. It is your church. God put you here to be a part of this mission. There are many big and powerful churches all over but I am a firm believer that nothing happens by accident. When God led you and ordered your steps into this place where your destiny would be fulfilled, you began to grow in the things of God to the point that you are now a leader.
As a leader, you are expected to also help others who will be drawn into the commission just as yourself to become established. Don’t constitute yourself into a caterpillar who will root people out of the church because of your attitude and behaviour.
Paul says that blessed be the God of all comfort who has comforted us; so that with the same comfort you received, that has kept you these years, you will be a source of comfort to help others.
