ALL YOU NEED IS CHRIST

ALL YOU NEED IS CHRIST

“Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? Knowing that it was the Lord.”
John 21:12 KJV

Jesus told the people what to expect. He told them He was going to be crucified, He was going to die, He would be buried and on the third day, He would resurrect.  But in John 21:3, guess who said ‘Look, we have waited for this man and He is not out, I am going back to my fishing business. A bird in hand is better than 10,000 in the bush.’ Just after three days!  That is what some of us do, we play games with God.

Peter turned his back and went fishing, and in the process, he influenced other people. This is why you as a leader, must be very careful with what you do. When God has raised you up to leadership, there is a way not to carry yourself, because there are weaker people watching you for direction.

Why do you think Jesus said, ‘there are things I would have told you, but you are not yet ready for it?’ Is it that, He was trying to hide things from them? No! They were not yet matured. He wanted them to grow. Peter went fishing and the others followed him. And Jesus just allowed them. They struggled and struggled to catch fish, but they couldn’t get any. God would not bless what He has not commissioned.

You do not go about your personal thing and then ask God to bless it. He is not your ‘errand boy.’ They caught nothing and the Lord, in his usual manner, appeared at the back of the scene and said “Children, have you caught anything?” They answered and said ‘nothing. In the interim, He was roasting good fish on the sea shore. He roasted it and waited for them. He said to them, ‘let me show you something. Let me show you that all you need is me. If you have me and will just follow me, everything will be alright.’
