A NEW THING
Dearly Beloved, I bring you greetings in the name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ the Son of the living God and our soon coming King. I believe this time of spiritual consecration has truly been refreshing and your spirits are being rejuvenated. The daily prayer sessions have also been incredible, I for one look forward to the different sessions; the prayers are word based and everyone who has led has been empowered by the Holy Spirit to pray the mind of the Father for this season.
You will agree with me that this has been an unusual year; I mean you cannot even predict what the next month would be like, it has completely defied all plans and projections. This month of October is no exception, especially for us here in Nigeria, with the Youth taking a stand against oppression. I believe with all my heart that in the midst of all these, God is doing a new thing.
“I am going to do something new. It is already happening. Don’t you recognize it? I will clear a way in the desert. I will make rivers on dry land.” Isaiah 43:19 (GW)
Beloved, in this season, God is doing something new and it is already happening. The ancient Prophet of God, Isaiah, in our text asks a very important question which I’m asking you today, in light of all that God is causing to manifest in our nation; “Don’t you recognize it?”
Another version reads, “Can you not see it?”
Child of God, look all around you and see unusual things taking place. These are things beyond our human comprehension; things that no one could have perfectly scripted. Don’t just look with your natural eye, but with the eyes of your spirit. It is neither an accident nor a coincidence that the things that are currently unfolding across the length and breadth of Nigeria, are happening in this month of October wherein we seek the Lord in prayer and fasting, and the whole world is watching. This is not the work of any man, but the hand of God.
Beloved, it’s a new season for Nigeria, a season of the unusual. This is why I know that this month will yield bountiful harvests for you. I want to implore you to spend more time praying in the Holy Ghost. The truth is we cannot fully articulate all that is happening in this period with our English language, but we can pray in tongues and speak mysteries and divine wisdom ordained for our glory (1Corinthians 2:7, Romans 8:26-27).
The daily prayer sessions continue Monday – Friday and I enjoin you to be a part of it. I believe God that you will not go through this season in vain. The voices of the wicked one against your life are silenced in Jesus’ name. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against you, we condemn in the name of Jesus. I will surely hear your testimonies.
