WHERE IS YOUR ATTENTION?
Dearly beloved, I bring you greetings in the name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ the Son of the living God and our soon coming King. Thank God for seeing us through this past week, and receive grace for this new week. This morning I will like to share with us on something the Holy Spirit dropped in my heart during the week.
Joshua 1:8 NKJV
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
Child of God, who you listen to and give your attention to this year will determine what you experience. The other day the Holy Spirit asked me a question, He said, “Why do we find it easy to agree with everything and everyone else more than we agree with what God has said?” The question hit me like a thunderbolt and pondering over it, I realized it is true. More often than not, we believe everything and everyone else more than we believe God. The doctor makes a diagnoses and you immediately accept it as your condition; some even personalize it by saying, “This my sickness…” But the scriptures tell us that “He took away our infirmity and bore our sicknesses and by His stripes, we are healed”, so why don’t you believe in the healing that was perfected on the cross and claim that as yours? Now I’m not telling you to live in denial if the doctor has made a diagnosis, but I’m asking you to place your faith in the healing that Jesus provided for you; fix your eyes on that healing, claim it as yours, and keep speaking it against all odds, that is how to enjoy the commanded blessings of God.
This year you must make up your mind to give attention to the Word of God. Do not trivialize it at all, because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). It is the faith produced by the Word of God that enables you take what Grace has already provided. Grace has set a buffet for you, but you need faith to take the food. The book of Proverbs is filled with a lot of wisdom for us.
“Listen to God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!” (Proverbs 3:2-8 MSG)
“Dear friend, listen well to my words; tune your ears to my voice. Keep my message in plain view at all times. Concentrate! Learn it by heart! Those who discover these words live, really live; body and soul, they’re bursting with health.” (Proverbs 4:20-22 MSG)
I particularly love how the Message translation puts the scriptures because it breaks down to basic English and makes it very easy to understand.
Child of God, if you must enjoy Commanded Blessings this year, you must pay attention to His Word. Do you want to enjoy abundant life? Then you must heed the Word of God. You must accept what Jesus paid the ultimate price to give to you. Like I’ve said at different times, the greatest honor you can give to God is to believe and accept as yours, all that Jesus died to give you. Rejecting it because you feel you don’t qualify is dishonor. He didn’t give anything to you based on your qualification, but based on Jesus’ qualification; that is Grace, unmerited, unearned and undeserved. Thank you, Jesus!
Beloved, there is so much for us in store this year, incredible blessings that only God can give, but your enjoying it will depend on what you pay attention to. Speak the Word, meditate on it at all times, day and night, obey it, act on it, because only then will you make your way prosperous and have good success. Even as we continue in the fast, keep your eyes on Jesus, and expect great testimonies this month. Also, remember the first edition of Kingdom Night for this year holding this Friday, make sure you are in attendance.
I declare to you that your 2018 will be filled with outstanding successes. The blessings of God will overflow in every area of your life. I bless you today in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Maranatha!
In His Royal Service
