SPEAK POSITIVE THINGS OVER YOUR CHILDREN

SPEAK POSITIVE THINGS OVER YOUR CHILDREN

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21 KJV)

The society today is designed in such a way that fathers and mothers are not there for their children. So how do you insulate your children from the wilderness of life? How can you build confidence in them? How can you keep them from peer pressure? How do you make them stand irrespective of what the enemy is throwing at them? How do you give them focus in the midst of a corrupt world?  How can they function in a toxic environment?

The Bible gives us a template in Matthew 3:17. Before Jesus ever stepped out to face the world, his father affirmed him:

“And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”

Learn to affirm your children by telling them positive things. Tell them they can make it. Tell them they can excel. Tell them they can overcome the world. Ever before they are even born, while they are still in the womb, tell them they will not be a disappointment to their generation. Keep on speaking because you carry power.

There is nothing that your child’s teacher can tell your child that will be as strong as what you say. When you speak into your child, whatever the teacher has said will be overruled because you are the father figure that will build confidence into your child. Build his confidence. Tell him not to cower under the table but should be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Let him know that even when challenges come and he seems to be on the floor, he can never be defeated. Let him know so that anywhere in the world he goes, he will hold his head high.

That is why you can never hear me say negative things about my children. I tell them that they are kings and queens,
