Daily Devotional

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Revelation 12:11 (KJV) One of the things I strongly encourage you to do this year is to share your testimony. Let us know what God has done in your life. This will do two things: 1. It will encourage others...

"My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him." Psalm 62:5 (KJV) As we go on this year, stay expectant. Expectation is the mother of miracles. What you do not expect, you may not receive. I appreciate the fact that there are many distractions, that is why I am calling your attention this early in the Year to be expectant. Give quality time...

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV) Another thing to note as we journey through this Year is to decide not to box God. God is set to do amazing things, but don’t assume you know Him and how He operates, because you don’t. He is the many-sided God – when...

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)   One of the tragedies of modern-day Christians is the microwave mentality. We want to claim it and receive it just like that, but I come to announce to you today that the word of God will not fall on you like a bag of...

"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” Genesis 1:3-5 (KJV) Congratulations. You made it through the 365 days of the year. What a...

"A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation; I the Lord will hasten it in his time.” Isaiah 60:22 (KJV) Today, I have come to challenge you as you prepare for 2024 to prepare to do big things. The days and seasons of small things are over. In 2024, you need to go beyond the mundane. No matter where you...

"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” Ecclesiastes 9:10 (KJV) Today, I am continuing with the emphasis on doing something. Again, the operative word in the topic for today is “Do”. Do is an active word. You engage the word of God by being actively involved...

“The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thy hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” Deuteronomy 28:8 (KJV)

The word “bless” here means to empower you in the work of your hand. There must be an engagement for that to happen. God will empower you in the work of your hands which you are doing. Therefore, if you are doing nothing, then you should expect nothing.

The book of Deuteronomy15:10 says; “… the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.”

Beloved, what are you doing? Are you among those just sitting around; playing with their fingers and saying: “Well, what will be, will be!” There are opportunities all over the world, no matter the country you live in right now, there are opportunities there. The issue is that you are not seeing them, probably because you are picking and choosing, or you are set in your mind as to what you want. As we round off 2023 and get into 2024, decide to be positively engaged. You must do something. God is set to bless the works of your hands.

What are your hands doing? When He talks about the works of your hands, He is talking about engagement. What are you engaged in? Don’t be so braggadocios that you don’t want to start something small. Start small and that small will become big. Just like a grain of mustard seed that you drop in the ground, and then it grows and becomes a mighty tree that everyone will begin to celebrate.

Look around you; this is a good time to reflect. What can you do? If you are doing nothing, there is nothing to bless. It is pure logic, anything you multiply by zero comes to zero. Like I have said before and it bears repetition: any prayer that expects God to do it 100% is an irresponsible prayer. God is ready to bless you, but what are you doing? You do not have to start big, start small. Start where you are. Don’t be afraid. Just start and when you do, you will experience God’s blessings like you never expected before.

And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden”. Genesis 3:8 (KJV) Adam was so blessed and empowered at creation that everything he named remained so. God did not see anything wrong with the names; rather,...
