BELIEVE GOD’S PROPHETS
“…Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” 2 Chronicles 20:20.
Before the birth of Jesus Christ, Jeremiah had already prophesied that Herod was going to seek after the messiah to kill him. In Jeremiah 31:15 it was prophesied. Now look at how prophesy is fulfilled. In the book of Matthew chapter 2, the bible says Herod killed all babies two years and below. Joseph had to escape with Jesus and his mother to Egypt. And when he heard that the son of Herod was reigning he was afraid and being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
Joseph ran to Egypt and while in Egypt, the prophesy that Jeremiah gave that a lot of the children will be killed, happened. In verse 15 of Matthew 2, it says: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet. The prophet of God has spoken it in Hosea 11:1 that his son shall be called out of Egypt. And Isaiah 44:26 says God confirms the words of his servant and performs the counsel of his messenger. God goes out of his way to honour the words of his prophet. Therefore when I prophesy over your life, believe it because God will honour it.
The prophets of old were human beings like us. The only thing is that they were sent by God just as I am sent by God to you. “He gave some apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints,…” So when a pastor speaks over your life, they are not empty words. If you receive it, God will honour it in your life. Don’t ever doubt it because God is not a man that he should lie. He is not the son of man that he should repent. If he has said it, he will do it. If he has spoken it, it will come to pass.
