“The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thy hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” Deuteronomy 28:8 (KJV)
The word “bless” here means to empower you in the work of your hand. There must be an engagement for that to happen. God will empower you in the work of your hands which you are doing. Therefore, if you are doing nothing, then you should expect nothing.
The book of Deuteronomy15:10 says; “… the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.”
Beloved, what are you doing? Are you among those just sitting around; playing with their fingers and saying: “Well, what will be, will be!” There are opportunities all over the world, no matter the country you live in right now, there are opportunities there. The issue is that you are not seeing them, probably because you are picking and choosing, or you are set in your mind as to what you want. As we round off 2023 and get into 2024, decide to be positively engaged. You must do something. God is set to bless the works of your hands.
What are your hands doing? When He talks about the works of your hands, He is talking about engagement. What are you engaged in? Don’t be so braggadocios that you don’t want to start something small. Start small and that small will become big. Just like a grain of mustard seed that you drop in the ground, and then it grows and becomes a mighty tree that everyone will begin to celebrate.
Look around you; this is a good time to reflect. What can you do? If you are doing nothing, there is nothing to bless. It is pure logic, anything you multiply by zero comes to zero. Like I have said before and it bears repetition: any prayer that expects God to do it 100% is an irresponsible prayer. God is ready to bless you, but what are you doing? You do not have to start big, start small. Start where you are. Don’t be afraid. Just start and when you do, you will experience God’s blessings like you never expected before.
